Varsity Bowling · Lady Cougar Bowlers defend SM District Cup Title

The Shawnee Mission Northwest Lady Cougar bowling team overcame adversity, and endured charges from other SM schools to defend their district cup title.

The Lady Cougars rolled a 2540 series to edge out SME who bowled a 2532.  Two big marks in the last two frames of the final Baker’s Game sealed the eight pin victory.

Cheyanne Bolin had a 530 series good enough for a third place individually to medal, while teammate Kayli Kinsella rolled a 491 to finish fifth and take home the final individual medal.  The ladies were rounded out in the top four with Angel Ortega 446 and Charlie Queral’s 435.  The team is back in action next Thursday at Park Lanes when they are in 6A Kansas Regional; with the top three teams qualifying for the 6A Kansas State Bowling Championships on March 4th
