Boys Varsity Soccer · Cougars Soccer Notches First Victory of Season at Fat Cat Tournament

SMNW Boys Soccer notched an impressive 6-0 victory over Topeka West on Saturday in their final game of the Fat Cat Tournament at Blue Valley West High School.

The Cougars came out offensive minded, and firing on all cylinders when Ishmaiel Cisse got the scoring started at the :47 second mark in the first half.  Eli Gunter added the second goal, just before the midway point of the second half to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead going into halftime.  The Cougars, led by Cole Slack’s two tallies in the second half, found the net four times to come away with the 6-0 victory.  Axel Marques, and Cole Foresman accounted for the other Cougar goals.  Cameron Ferencz set up two of the Cougar goals in a total team victory.

The Cougars are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to ODAC to take on the Eagles of Olathe North in a Sunflower League battle.
